So Much Went On...Where Do We Begin?

Where to begin? Well, Saturday morning Hendersohn and I took Brooklynn to see Sesame Street Live. Brooklynn loved the show! She clapped, danced, and smiled the whole time. Although she got a little antsy during the last ten minutes of the show, she really enjoyed it. After Sesame Street Live we headed over to Hendersohn's goddaughter Olivia's fourth birthday party. After partying with Olivia and hanging out with friends we headed to the airport to pick up the grandparents who are visiting for a few days. It has been nonstop activity for the past few days. Our little socialite has been enjoying every minute of it!

I'm an Obama Mama , Officially!

Early voting began this week, so after I dropped Brooklynn off at Mom's Day Out I went and voted. The voting process for me has taken a whole new direction for me this year. I'm no longer just voting for myself, I'm voting for the person I want to run the country that my child is a part of. That's an awesome responsibility! Well needless to say, I'm an Obama Mama and proud of it!!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Today was another busy day for our little socialite! Brooklynn started her day with fruit loops and a sweet potato pancake for breakfast. Our day started with a Strollerfit workout. After working out Brooklynn and her friend Scotty got the chance to play while the mommies got to sit and chit chat for a minute (with our Starbucks, of course!). After playtime with Scotty, we headed over to MyGym for our 10:30 toddler gym class. Brooklynn had a great time at class. She walked the balance beam, sat in the swings, played a little basketball, slid down the slide, and of course climbed anything that was climbable. We left MyGym and ran a few errands to prepare for the many Valentine's Day activities we have coming up over the next few days. After errands, we had lunch at Chick Fil A and headed home for Brookie's afternoon nap. We spent the evening making Valentine's Day treat bags for our friends, class mates, and playgroup buddies. As you can imagine Brookie was such a big help in the bag making process. :)

Let's Celebrate!

This weekend was jam packed with activities! With my 30th birthday right around the corner, I spent the weekend celebrating the upcoming milestone. Saturday night I spent the evening celebrating with friends! It was extremely nice to have an all grown up evening. After dropping Brookie off with the babysitter, Hendersohn and I headed over "The Counter" to meet everyone for dinner. We all enjoyed fried pickles, french fries, sweet potato fries, and burgers. After enjoying a good meal, good conversation, and lots of laughs we headed over to Martini Park for a few martinis. After several appletinis we headed over to Nylo. At Nylo we played some pool, chit chatted, and enjoyed a few more martinis. Around 1:00 a.m. we all realized that it's much harder to celebrate until the wee hours these days and decided to call it a night. It was a a great evening and I feel truly blessed to have been able to celebrate my 30th birthday!

Sunday morning after we all recovered from Saturday evening (Brookie slept til noon!) Hendersohn and Brookie took me to the Cheesecake Factory for Sunday brunch. After brunch Brooklynn and I met Rosalyn and her two boys, Philipe and Nigel, for an afternoon in the park. How else would we spend a Sunday afternoon in February when the temperature is 74 degrees! Brooklynn loved the slide! Twice she went down so fast (head first) that my heart stopped! Both times she got up, smiled, dusted the wood chips off, and kept moving! After playing for a while we all went out for burgers and fries (two nights in a row! :). Brooklynn had a great time playing with the boys and even got a kiss from Nigel at the end of the evening! :)

A Ball and a Magazine

Well after a busy day of Strollerfit, My Gym, and lunch with Mateo(friend from playgroup) and his mommy Brookie and I were all about relaxing this evening. Although we have enough toys in our apartment to open a Toys R Us, Brooklynn decided to spend the evening playing with mommies exercise ball and reading daddies magazine. Who knew rolling a ball around and reading a magazine about Ford cars could be so entertaining! Just another evening in the Sudler home! :)

Little Miss Hostess!

Shortly after we moved to Texas, Brookie and I joined a playgroup. It's been a great way for us to meet people, learn the area, and give Brookie an opportunity to play and interact with other children her age. We've gone to several play dates since we joined and today it was our turn to do the hosting. I thought it would be really cute if the kids decorated cookies for Valentine's Day! So, I baked some heart shape cookies, did a little decorating, invited the playgroup and asked them to bring things to decorate the cookies and we had a party! The kids loved it! Of course, Brooklynn did more eating than decorating! Frosting was everywhere, including her hair, and we had way more sugar than is normally allowed! Brooklynn was a wonderful host (we shared today, yeah!) and loved having friends over to play with.
