Brookie's New Lovie

Other than her pacifier, Brooklynn has never really gotten into the "lovie" thing. That's why it's been really interesting lately that she has become attached to a "lovie". When she sees her "lovie" she wants it and will walk all over the apartment with it. Today she even wanted it for nap time. The most interesting thing about this whole thing is the fact that Brooklynn's new "lovie" is a BANANA! You can't make this kind of stuff up! :) She loves her bananas and wants them all the time. It's not even that she wants to eat them, she just enjoys playing with them. I took this picture of her holding her "lovie" this afternoon while she napped.

Pictures From the Weekend

Over the weekend we spent some time hanging out as a family. We spent Saturday afternoon at the Galleria Mall. While we were there we went into a toy store that had a safari train ride and safari animal rides (robotics). We decided to do the animal ride and Brooklynn really enjoyed it! Sunday we got up and went to an early morning church service and spent the rest of the afternoon napping and relaxing!

Wordless Wednesday (Well, not really but kinda)

This is one of Brooklynn's favorite songs right now. I love it too! It's so old school, it takes me back. :) We first saw this video and heard the song on a Sesame Street video and we loved it so much we bought the cd. I just thought I'd share, enjoy!

This time last year...

Wow, I realized today that it has been a year since we found out we were moving to Dallas. On April 12 we flew to Dallas to check out the scene after only about a week's notice about Hendersohn's new job. I have to admit I was initially unsure about moving to Texas but it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the place! Well, it's been a year and the move was truly a blessing. Below are pictures we had taken of Brooklynn right before we moved last year. In a lot of ways she's grown but also in many ways she's still the same little "brookie cookie".

Picture Perfect Weekend

This weekend was just like most weekends at the Sudler house, eventful!

I got the chance to sip margaritas on the patio on Sunday with friends. The weather was beautiful and there were lots of laughs and talking (and lots of margaritas!). It was a much needed relaxing and fun afternoon.

This weekend we also celebrated the first birthday of Carmen and Sanaya(my good friend Pamela's twin girls). Brooklynn had a great time and loved all the balloons! She made a craft, ate chips and a cookie, and even got a professional photo taken. Pamela's husband is a professional photographer and he took these pictures of Brooklynn and me at the party. When it was time to go Brooklynn was super excited about her goodie basket and even snuck and ate a piece of chocolate (foil wrapper and all!).

Play Day Wednesday

Yesterday Brooklynn spend the afternoon playing with her little friend Mateo. Mateo and his mommy (Lourdes) were great hosts! The kids ate spaghetti and meatballs, played with Mateo's toys and books, and even went outside for a wagon ride. It was a great afternoon! The kids had fun and the mommies got a chance to sit back and talk. Brooklynn was so exhausted from all the fun, she was asleep before we made it out of their neighborhood!
