I've Been Tagged

I have been tagged by Bethany.

This is a fun little game that bloggers play, I've never done anything like this before, so here it goes! The rules are as follows:
1. Post the rules!
2. Answer the questions about yourself

3. At the end of the post, list 5-6 people you would like to tag and leave a comment
on their blog letting them know.
4. Let the person who tagged you know that you posted your answers.So here goes....

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?

Let's see, 10 years ago I was in college at Hampton University in Hampton VA. I was studying hard and spending all my time in the library. (my mom reads this blog...:)

2. What are 5 things on your to-do list today?

* Order backpack for Brooklynn.
* Work on party favors for Brooklynn's b-day party
* Update my blog
* Pick up pictures from Walmart
* Drop off mail at post office

3. What are some snacks you enjoy?

I don't snack much, but when I do it either has to be really sweet or really salty.

4. What would you do if you were a billionaire?

Let's be honest.... we all know I'd go shopping! :) I would also buy a huge estate for my mom and family. She's always wanted us to live like the Ewings (Dallas).

5. What are three of your bad habits?

* I spend way too much money
* I am always late
* I eat out way too much

6. What are 5 places you have lived?
* Alabama
* South Carolina
* Virginia
* Atlanta
* Detroit

7. What are 5 jobs you have had?
* Grocery store cashier
* Camp counselor
* McDonalds (we all have skeletons in our closet..I was 15!)
* Teacher
* Teen board model for mall

8. What is currently playing on your IPOD?

Ryan Leslie, lots of hip hop, and the Sex and the City soundtrack

9. What are the last 5-6 books you have read?

Sadly, I don't get read like I used to. However, when I was in Hawaii I read SToritelling by Tori Spelling. I loved it. What can I say, if it has anything to do with 90210 I'm all about it!

10. Who do you want to tag?

Surprise, surprise I'm kinda late getting to this. By now I think everyone I would tag has already done it.

Fun, Fun, & More Fun!

Just before our trip Hendersohn and I took Brooklynn to this new family fun center called Amazing Jakes. It was a lot of fun, we had to drag Daddy out of there! The next day we met our friends Whitney and Macy for some fun at GattiTown.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my dad(love ya "Big Willie"), my husband, and my father in law!

Mom, I know today is hard, I Love You!!!!

In honor of Father's Day here are 2 quotes from Chris Rock that are humorous way to honor the dads in my life!

''Nobody appreciates daddy,'' he says. ''I'm talking about the real daddy that handles the [expletive] business. Nobody ever says, 'Hey, Daddy, thanks for knocking out this rent!' 'Hey, Daddy, I sure love this hot water!' 'Hey, Daddy, it's easy to read with all this light!''

"Sometimes I am walking with my daughter, I'm talking to my daughter, I'm looking at her, I'm pushing her in the stroller. And sometimes I pick her up and I just stare at her and I realize my only job in life is to keep her off the pole.

"Keep my baby off the pole!

"I mean they don't grade fathers but if your daughter is a stripper you f*&$#@ up."

Well Dad, you kept me off the pole! You did a good job! Hendersohn always remember, keep Brookie off the pole! :)

Aloha!

Well today is the last day of my fabulous trip to Maui, Hawaii. We have had an amazing time. I decided to take a few minutes to reflect on the trip while I'm still in this beautiful place. For the past few hours I've been sitting on the balcony of hotel room looking out into the ocean and enjoying the sounds of the water. The view is amazing! Over this past few weeks we've gone to the beach, watch the sunrise at over 10,000 feet on the top of a mountain. driven the historic "Road to Hana", swam in a waterfall, explored a Hawaiian beach cave, sat by the pool, shopped (of course!), met a really sweet couple from Kansas City, hiked, watched a Luau, played in the sand, had some tropical drinks (the Lava Flow is a personal favorite), attended the Maui Film Festival (unofficially, it was being held at our resort and we just kind hung around the festivities), had authentic Hawaiian shaved ice, and just plain enjoyed being Brooklynn free (although I missed her terribly!). It was a wonderful trip and I'm sure I'm missing some things that we did over this week. Oddly enough, out of all the amazing things we did one of my favorites was sitting on the balcony relaxing with coffee, my Elle magazine, my computer and enjoying the people watching and ocean view. As I get older and my daily life becomes more about someone else (Brookie) it's nice to just sit and do those little things that we love so much that we just aren't able to enjoy as much anymore. Alright, enough blogging in Hawaii. Its time to hit the beach for one last time. I'll add the pictures to the blog when I get back home tomorrow.

ALOHA

Hangin With The Boys!

This morning we went over to Keller's house for a play date with Keller and Mateo. The kids couldn't wait to get outside. Once they made it out back they played in the kiddie pool, enjoyed the slide, played in the sandbox, and splashed around with the water table. To top the morning off we had pizza for lunch. Needless to say Brooklynn had a wonderful time. She always enjoys hanging out with two of her favorite buddies!
