13 Things I Want to Say to my Mom...

1. I'm sorry for the night I stayed out until 3:00 a.m without calling. I now realize the agony I must have put you through.
2. Thank you for chaperoning every field trip. I now realize why you did.
3. Thank you for always finding a way.
4. Thank you for always putting your children first.
5. Although I will never fully recognize all the sacrifices you've made over the past 30 years, I now see the type of sacrifices you make as a mother. Thank you
6. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful sense of style, a great sense of humor, and a compassionate heart.
7. Thank you for reminding me that no one is better than me and I am not better than anyone else.
8. I have never known the feeling of needing something and not knowing when or if it would come, thank you.
9. I now understand why I was only allowed to have one Little Debbie Snack at lunch time. Two really is too much sugar!
10. I don't know how you let me go off to Virginia for college (Brooklynn's going to a local college so she can live at home). However, you did. Thanks for letting go so I could grow!
11. Thanks for being there through all the boyfriends, break ups, and heart aches. Oh yeah, I'm sorry for the long distance charges. What can I say, I thought I was in love! :)
12. You have always supported my choices, whether good or bad. You allowed me to make mistakes and learn from them. I now see how hard it must have been.
13. There is no way I could possibly put all of my feelings in a list of thirteen. You have taught me how to be a strong, compassionate, educated, spiritual woman. I pray daily that I can be the wonderful mother for Brooklynn that you have been and continue to be for me. There are no words to express the depth of my love and admiration for you. You are my best friend and I thank God for you every day!
